Born in Genk (Belgium) in 1976, Ruggiero published in several literary and contemporary art magazines such as UT, Prospektiva, Night Mag, and the Unonove web site.
In 2001, with his story “The Break”, he won the creative writing contest of Alessandro Baricco’s Scuola Holden. In 2010 he developed Idea Solida, an experimental project involving readings of some of his stories. In 2011 he participated in the 54th Venice Biennale with a text written and interpreted for a Marco Agostinelli video installation.
A surreal, theatrical, obstinate, primitive and naif character, he lives in a third floor attic at the beach with his two cats.
I Know No Shame is his first book of short stories.
